Choosing a fertility clinic can be stressful, especially when you start comparing the different options available. There are many important questions that arise as you're trying to select the IVF clinic that will offer you the best egg donation treatment. To help you make an informed decision, we have put together a Q&A list pertaining to the areas in which, we believe, Central IVF can provide great comfort and assurance during the egg donation process.
The Central IVF team personally recruits and screens egg donors from Ukraine, while adhering to the guidelines of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and our own institutional ethics board. Donors will become available to donate only after their screening has been fully completed and they have been formally designated as eligible. Our rigorous screening process includes full review of medical history, physical examination, genetic and mental health screening, and testing for infectious diseases.
Our multidisciplinary donor screening team which includes a physician, psychologist / counsellor and a genetic counsellor, who are deeply involved in the screening and matching process. We believe that this enables us to identify any potential issues with our donors and address them properly. This approach that Central IVF adopted when it comes to donor selection is part of our commitment to the highest quality control.
Does the quote from the clinic include all donor screening tests, genetic counselling, medications, and monitoring? Are there any “hidden charges”?
Central IVF makes sure to quote patients upfront in the most transparent way. Our “fully disclosed” billing approach guarantees no “hidden” or “added” costs.
Central IVF’s donor program is unique in offering the option of non-anonymous donors. We believe that non-anonymous matching offers various psychological and medical benefits to our recipients. Moreover, many donors feel that a non-anonymous match makes their donation more personally rewarding.
Central IVF donors are all exclusive and fully committed to our clinic.
All our donors are fertility proven, meaning they have had at least one successful pregnancy and a live birth.
Donor matches at Central IVF are immediate, with absolutely no waiting time.
How experienced are the doctors and embryologists? Does the clinic's staff include a genetic counsellors and psychologists? Who will be primarily and consistently in touch with us during the process?
Our doctors are among the most experienced and qualified fertility specialists in Israel and undoubtedly from the leaders in the field. The director of our embryology lab and other embryologists and technicians are all extensively experienced in advanced IVF/ICSI, embryo culture and freezing, egg freezing and embryo biopsy for PGD. All fertility nurses in our clinic are registered fertility nurses. Our staff also includes a genetic counselor, psychologist and egg donor coordinators.
Are advanced IVF laboratory services like vitrification, embryo culture and embryo biopsy for PGD are available in the lab?
Eggs and embryos frozen at Central IVF are all frozen using the rapid- freeze “vitrification” approach which result in over 96% embryo post-thaw survival, which is far superior to the rates seen with the “old school” slower freeze techniques that are still used in many other clinics and have much lower success rates associated with them.
CGH array - Comparative genomic hybridization array, which is an advanced form of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), is another option available to you at Central IVF and can be used to screen for chromosomal abnormalities.
